Kailua Town has seen significant change over the past 5 years primarily due to the expiration of commercial ground leases. Kaneohe Ranch initiated a community planning process in 2004 to create dialogue and generate ideas for planning the re-development of certain properties which leases have expired and the buildings were beyond their economic life. That master plan is on this website under Community Planning.
