KAILUA — Brazilian Show Room Hawaii, a local retail company specializing in bikinis and swimsuits from Brazil, is expanding its business beyond its Honolulu space by opening a store in Kailua Town Center.
“We have so many customers who currently drive all the way from Kailua to shop at our store in Kaimuki,” said Brazilian Show Room Hawaii owner Nadia Ribeiro. “We are excited to open this store in Kailua for the many beachgoers here. We have bikinis for all kinds of bodies, ages and coverage.”
The store will be part of the third phase of Kaneohe Ranch’s redevelopment project on the Kailua Road side. It will be joining culinary store Executive Chef, clothing boutique Fighting Eel and the recently opened Paul Brown Salon in the part of Kailua Town Center known as KTC-3, whose anchor tenant is Whole Foods Market. The opening of the 500-square-foot Brazilian Show Room will complete the KTC-3 redevelopment.
“We are thrilled that Brazilian Show Room chose our development as the location for its expansion,” said Kimo Steinwascher, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Kaneohe Ranch. “Tenants are carefully selected to offer a diverse mix to shoppers and we make sure they are a good fit for our special beachside community in Kailua.”
Brazilian Show Room Hawaii focuses on providing high-quality products directly from Brazilian designers. Ribeiro selects all of the merchandise herself, purchasing only brands known for best quality and ideal fit. The company’s BSR brand is a top seller at the store and Ribeiro makes sure to provide a style and cut for everyone. “Our brand alone has more than 50 different styles of bikini bottoms and tops available in more than 15 different colors and patterns from extra small to extra large,” she said. “There’s no way someone can’t find the perfect bikini here!”
The company is also known for its top-notch customer service. Ribeiro, a Brazilian native, said that she wants customers to feel like they are shopping in her home country. “In Brazil, we are used to very personal service,” she said, “and that is what we try to provide to customers here. My number one concern is that customers have a good time shopping and will always be well assisted.”
Ribeiro has more than 20 years of experience with fashion merchandise. Originally working with wholesalers in her home city of Belo Horizonte in Minas Gerais and then in Honolulu, her initial plans were for Brazilian Show Room Hawaii to be a wholesale outlet. However, her retail launch was so successful that it eventually became the main focus of the company.
Brazilian Show Room Hawaii at the Kailua Town Center is aiming to open its doors on July 21. A grand opening celebration is expected at a later date and would include a fashion show, live bands and a blessing.
Brazilian Show Room Hawaii’s original location is still open in Kaimuki. Since its opening it has expanded to four times its original size.
